The New Balance 247 “Sport” Pack is set to launch this weekend, but there’s also another launch for the 247 happening which seems to have gone under the radar a little bit…
mita sneakers of Japan have managed to get their hands on the 247 and put their spin on the brand new silhouette, and introduce the first ever collaboration on this model and have dubbed it the “Tokyo Rat”.
Through some rough Google translations (our Japanese ain’t all that unfortunately), this collaboration with mita sneakers and New Balance is inspired by the rodents which scurry about the streets of Tokyo all day and all night, 24/7 if you must…
The New Balance 247 x mita sneakers “Tokyo Rat” comes dressed in an all grey mesh upper with hairy suede panels and contrasting orange accents, which gives you colourway a bit of a familiar look for those who have a keen eye.
To finish off the sneaker, artist Keita Suzuki has designed graphic insoles which feature mita and New Balance co-branding.
This first ever collaboration on the 247 is set to launch on Saturday 11th of February at places like HANON!
