Over the last few months, we’ve seen various teasers of upcoming New Balance 997.5’s, and various samples of Sneaker Freaker’s upcoming collaboration on the model. Well, the folks over at Beauty & Youth will be first up to release their work on the New Balance 997.5.

Now, if you’re not sure what the “.5” part added on to the 997 means, then let us explain. Back in 2008 or so, New Balance took a 997 upper and paired it with a 998 midsole which equates to the “.5”, but these new iterations have been treated to a REVlite midsole, with the whole shoe being made in Asia.

Japanese lifestyle label Beauty & Youth have teamed up with New Balance and transformed the silhouette to create two minimalist looking colourways, utilising white/off-white suede and mesh on one, and matte black suede and mesh with a hint of snakeskin detailing on the other.
