So we’ve had the New Balance 997GY not too long ago, the 990GRY a little before that, we get the 1300JP (or close enough) every 5 years, the 998GY has always been lurking around, we’ve got the 997.5GR this year already, and now we’re being treated to the 990GR2 AND it’s Made in the USA?! What will be next I wonder?!

New Balance have resurrected the 990v2 from the archive, a model which used to feature quite a bit and has been collaborated on also, twice by the good people at Hanon Shop, but never mind the past, let’s look at what’s going on in the present.

Looking as beautiful as we could have ever imagined, the New Balance 990GR2 is Made in the USA and comes in a traditional grey suede and mesh upper with reflective ‘N’ and all sitting atop that lovely two-toned ABZORB sole unit.
