Being from the UK, we often lean towards the UK and US Made product, principally on quality, and of course, a dash of loyalty also. However, credit where credit is due, as for us right now, some of the Asian made product is simply smashing it out the park! Recently we’ve seen a whole heap of real quality driven releases that are up there with the best of the best in terms of style, substance and of course, build.

That includes a lot of the Re-Engineered models, and we’ve recently featured the latest MD1500’s, where they have been re-engineered in premium perforated suede with a waxed leather tongue and heel tab, and on first look, you might think these pairs have came straight out of somewhere like Maine or Flimby.

Staying with the re-engineered vibe, another model that caught our eye was the Re-Engineered New Balance MRT580TB, which has  been stripped back of any suede, and now feature 3M reflective taped seams up front, and a mix of synthetics, rip-stop fabric and rubber throughout the rest of the shoe.

The upper is sat upon the revolutionary lightweight and extremely comfortable REVlite midsole, which features a marbled treatment. The shoe is then finished off with 3M laces which completes the look of this shoe and kicks off what is bound to be a great year for Asian Made New Balance!
