New Balance 1500 and 576 x Offspring

The folks at Offspring first collaborated with New Balance in 2004 (don’t worry, we’re working on that collab history… it’s been a LOOOOONG process!), and now, to celebrate Offspring’s 20th anniversary, they are back with a double collaboration which harks back to the early days of Offspring, and also their first work with New Balance.

First up is the New Balance MD1500FX which is a coming together of new and old, and draws inspiration from the OM577GBR which was part of the first collaboration between the two in 2004. Fast forward 12 years and we have this re-engineered 1500 packed with new technologies like FANTOM FIT and REVLITE, but still retaining a classic look with the animal print, and some suede overlays.

The second pair is the New Balance M576OFF which is Made in England at the Flimby Factory, and takes inspiration from how Neal Street in London was back in 1996 with a folk and craftmanship story. The shoe itself is decked out in a predominantly burnt orange suede upper, with Vachetta Tan Leather detailing and pops of burgundy, yellow and blue, as well as that clean midsole and outsole which is quite uncommon.
