We’re still slowly working our way through the first spring/summer New Balance drop of 2016, and before we know it, the second drop will be upon us, so we better get a move on.
Following on from the MD1500’s, we have some more from the ‘Re-Engineered’ range in the form of the CM1600, two stand out shoes for us from this drop.
The New Balance 1600 is a hugely popular model, one that we never really gave the time of day even though there’s been some pretty great colourways over the last couple of years.
However, fast forward to the whole ‘Re-Engineered’ thing, and we’re starting to like what we see. For SS ’16, we have two new iterations of the 1600, so let’s see which one takes your fancy.
First up is the New Balance CM1600BT and this pair features an upper which has been slimmed down using the method of heat-sealed panels, and is combined with black mesh, synthetic material, and some micro-perf leather side panels.
Further details include blue stitch detailing on the N, a blue underlay on the side and heel, as well a tan heel wrap, and tan tongue tab, with the whole shoe being sat atop an Abzorb midsole with grey speckle detailing.

Next up is the New Balance CM1600WT and this pair features an upper which is exactly the same as the first colourway, but is white instead of black, has turquoise detailing instead of blue, however, has the same tan heel wrap and tongue tab which compliments the white perfectly.
