The recent Made in USA New Balance 997BEXP “Horween Leather” was an absolute revelation for us, and we have got some serious wear out of that shoe, but New Balance are back working with Horween Leather Co. and for this drop, it’s on a 998 and a 1300, with some added 3M pops to boot!
Horween and New Balance have quite a history of link ups with the Chicago-based Leather Company with ultra luxurious versions of the 998, 996 and 1300 having appeared in the past.
Now it’s the return of the 998 and 1300 for Autumn 2016 with the Made in the USA M998BESP and M1300BOK. The 998 takes on an almost bronze-like brown leather whereas the 1300 keeps it a bit more subtle with a black leather finish, with embossed “Made in USA” detailing touches on the tongue and heel panels of both silhouettes.
Both feature textured 3M hits and waxed laces with the usual paper in the box being replaced by a soft New Balance branded cloth.
If, like us, Horween Leather on a New Balance is one of your favourite combinations, then you can grab both pairs over at HANON now via these links >> 998BESP and 1300BOK, but you’ll need to have a pretty penny saved away to afford their retail!
