The third partner from the #EpicTRProject are Firmament of Berlin, who are located in Berlin’s Mitte district, and we know all too well about the Mitte district, as this is where New Balance recently opened up a flagship store, right in the historical centre of the city.
The New Balance Epic TR x Firmament is inspired by the structure from which Firmament is located, known as “L40” which is where the shoe takes it’s name from. The shoe comes dressed in a predominantly grey suede upper, with lush black suede on toe, heel, and tongue, and is finished off with that huge 3M ‘N’, adding the perfect amount of pop.
Andrew Storvoll of Firmament said the following about the collaboration:
“The colours and feel of our collaborative offering were inspired by the very structure from which Firmament is located. Linienstrasse 40, or “L40″, located in Berlin’s Mitte district, is such an iconic, bold, beautifully constructed, and thought provoking building. A home to families and creatives alike, within the walls of L40’s dark and sharp exterior there are such colourful, vibrant people and ongoing, making it quite unique. We applied the building’s story and its attributes to our New Balance EPIC-TR project.”
