The other week we flew down to London to attend the launch event of the New Balance London Flagship Store, which is situated on the very famous Oxford Street.

This brand new flagship store for London spans across three floors and can be found at 287-291 Oxford Street, offering mostly performance products for both men and women, with sections dedicated to sports like football. However, be sure to check out the bottom floor as there’s a great mix of lifestyle products, from Made in UK product to Made in USA product and everything in between.

Anyway enough about the store, as I’m sure we’ll get some shots of the store and a more detailed look at the product on offer in the future, but for now, let’s get down to the event!

Now you must forgive us, we were too caught up in the old socialising thing and drinking prosecco to bother taking any pictures before the normal lights went out and the crazy ones came on, but head over to our friends at The Drop Date who managed to capture some pretty good images.

With refreshments and music flowing, prosecco being drank, and us being scared by living mannequins which were dotted around the store, the wristbands that we were issued upon entry came to life, and flashed with different colours in time to the music and the lighting show as a choreographed dance performance took place. There were also a few of New Balance’s athletes in attendance, such as Aaron Ramsey, Joe Ledley, and Heather Watson.

It was pretty special, New Balance never really do things in half measures. If you were lucky enough to catch our Snapchat story from the event, then you’ll have caught a glimpse of this awesome performance.

The star of the show however, was the “London Cab” Pack which was available to buy on the night and consisted of a men’s 1500 and a women’s 991. We were kindly gifted the 1500’s by our friends at New Balance and Gung Ho, but we had to grab the 991’s also, and with being a size 7, we were in luck!

We took some shots of the pack with the East London skyline as the backdrop the next day.

All in all, the event was a massive success and a great way to launch the store. Great food, drink, music, old friends and plenty of new ones, great vibe. You name it, this night had it! Shout out to all involved, and thanks for having us!
