The Made in USA New Balance 997DSLR is the third pair from the “Ski Collection” which we’ve taken an in-depth look at, and probably the one that we’ve been looking forward to the most.

As you probably have figured out by now, there’s no slowing down with the 997 colourways, but if they keep releasing pairs to the same standard as these, then we definitely won’t be complaining.

Anyway, the “Ski Collection” which is inspired by all things retro skiing, such as the clothing, posters, and equipment, and it features two levels – Connoisseur and Distinct.

This particular 997, the New Balance 997DSLR is from the Distinct collection, and for that reason, it also demands a higher price point.

However, if we are to justify the high price point, the shoe itself features a premium burgundy suede upper, with a burgundy leather saddle, and tan Horween leather detailing, all sat on a clean white Encap midsole.
