When the reissue of the New Balance ML878 literally appeared out of nowhere (you can check them here), we couldn’t wait to check out a pair in person, so a couple of months on from the reintroduction, we finally got to check out a couple of pairs in person, and they’re maybe the best ones yet…

First up is the New Balance ML878SY which features a predominantly white leather upper with black mesh, and black detailing throughout. However, the best thing about these two pairs is the heavy use of 3M, which on the ML878SY is featured on the toe wrap and heel wrap.

The upper sits on an Abzorb midsole, with the Abzorb rear section coloured in black with a white speckle, with red rear detailing.

Next up, and our favourite of the two is the New Balance ML878KS which is 3M HEAVY to say the least!

Where the shoe doesn’t feature 3M, it has white mesh and dark grey detailing, as well as being sat on the same traditional Abzorb midsole in grey with black speckle and red details.
