The two newest iterations of the 1500 for SS16 may just be our favourite colourways to drop on the 1500 in a long time, and they are both particularly reminiscent of a particular 1500SNS from 2009 in more ways than one.
The Made in UK New Balance 1500TG and 1500KG come in a predominantly suede and mesh upper, with a leather tongue and collar, all sat atop the traditional 1500 Encap sole unit, double embroidered ‘N’, and finished off with some reflective piping around the heel wrap.
As mentioned at the beginning, when we first got both of these pairs in hand, straightaway they reminded us of Sneakersnstuff’s 1500 collaboration, which featured a really thin tongue, and thin white mesh, two things which we are big fans of here at NB Gallery.
Let’s take a look at the New Balance 1500KG first, which comes dressed in an simple black, grey and white colourway.
Next up is the New Balance 1500TG, which comes in an awesome teal, grey and white colourway, and is our pick of the two, and definitely one of the best 1500’s to release in the last few years.
