We’re a little bit late with this one in terms of a blog post, but unsurprisingly, these two absolute bangers got a crazy amount of airtime from us on our social channels, and in particular, that New Balance M1500BY. What a special couple of pairs.

First of all, this one is a really special one for us, so we’d just like to take this time to say a few words.

To just be a couple of guys who are fans of a huge brand like New Balance, and to be given the level of access and insight into the brand over the last couple of years that we both have been able to get is beyond amazing. A dream. There has to be a huge credit given to all those involved at New Balance UK, and to those who sadly couldn’t be here today to see the reaction globally to the last few UK Made 1500’s, your encyclopaedia-like knowledge is sorely missed.

Anyway, let’s get stuck into these two pairs. Waaaaaay back when, New Balance released the 1500BG “Black/Gold” and the 1500CT “Chianti” and now for 2016, we have two very close reissues and boy are they good.

Both the New Balance 1500BY and 1500CK are hand-crafted at the Flimby Factory in England’s Lake District and come dressed in premium suede, mesh and leather, in tonal black/grey/yellow and red/black/white, going detail to detail with their original counterparts from the archives!
