You might have heard it mentioned a couple of times already, but we’ll remind you again. 2016 is the 20th anniversary of the MT580, one of New Balance’s most iconic silhouettes and it just so happens to also be the perfect silhouette for this collaboration. So, in celebration, Packer Shoes have joined forces with New Balance to create the MT580 “Pine Barrens”.

The Packer x New Balance MT580 “Pine Barrens” is inspired by Packer’s proud New Jersey roots, and the deepest, darkest depths of it’s Pine Barrens, a one million acre forest that spans the southern part of the state.

We’re not big on horror stories, but it seems that New Jersey have an infamous urban legend which has been known to terrorise unfortunate forest wanderers since the 1700’s, and although visual evidence of the mythical creature has been scarce, Packer assure us all that the beast is finally emerging in the form of this shoe.

The shoe itself features lush red tones across the upper in the form of premium suedes and ballistic mesh, and is finished off with a pine forest graphic on the tongue label and inner lining, and of course, some 3M reflective accents providing some pop!

The New Balance MT580 “Pine Barrens” is limited to only 500 pairs worldwide, and will be available exclusively at Packer from 12 noon EST Friday 25th of March at both locations, and online at PackerShoes.com.
