Brand new for 2016, and designed to commemorate New Balance’s 110th anniversary, New Balance have created the aptly named ML2016. Designed by their Tokyo Design Studio, the New Balance ML2016 takes us away from the classic and propels us straight into the future with a super sleek upper with loads of details.

The New Balance ML2016 so far has been crafted in premium cowhide leather and suede uppers, with a seamless vamp and toe box, as well as pebbled leather accents around the collar and on the tongue. Further details come in the form of tonal laces, suede heel tab with reflective 3M strip, and the most interesting details in our opinions; the leather lining which has been combined with almost like perforated cushioning pads, and a memory foam insole, creating a snug and comfortable fit.

The sole unit has been totally reworked also, and features an Abzorb midsole, with custom light gum rubber outsole, with a brown leather patch near the centre.

This particular colourway is the New Balance ML2016BR and comes decked out with an upper made from brown premium leather and suede.

We are super excited to see what’s to come from this model, and thanks to New Balance for letting us get our hands on a pair!
